If you are enjoying the leisure of sleeping on a sleep number bed, then you should be aware of how to clean it. This will help you to keep your bed long lasting. It is an easy process where you just need a vacuum cleaner, a lint- free soft cloth and some carbonated water or mild detergent.

The company prefers spot cleaning. You should first vacuum the outside of the mattress cover. Wet a piece of lint- free cloth with carbonated water or a mild detergent. Wipe away any stains on the cover of the mattress with the wet cloth. Unzip the mattress cover and vacuum the inside of the mattress. This helps in ventilating the inside of the bed. And finally zip the mattress cover and there you have your sleep number bed, new and fresh as ever.

Now this is the normal procedure but everything need not be normal in our life. And in the case of beds, you need to take utmost care when you have kids and pets at home who happen to be of the habit of knocking random things on the bed. Some of such stains are very hard to remove. One of my friends had such an experience. He had a King model 5000, dual chamber and one of his wife’s cats urinated on it. He also put it in the dryer for one hour and he had a completely clean and stainless bed cover. Some of the things you should avoid doing when cleaning the sleep number bed is to avoid dry cleaning and putting the cover in the washers. Also, do not use stain- guard as it can result in yellowing of the fabric.
